How To Create Eye Makeup Ideas

This post came about from a conversation that I had with a very talented friend makeup artist of mine recently and is about the creative nature of what she does on a daily basis. The statement she made struck me as quite original and inspired me in ways that were totally unrelated to her eye makeup ideas creation. This insightful statement made by my friend, was the doorway for me to a whole new world of creativity. Although it’s been said in many ways and in many forms, the words she chose that day served to inspire something in me that until that point had not been available to me.

My interpretation of what she said was basically this. If you sit down and focus just a little bit on what it is you want to create and then take very minimal tools and with them start to take some action, from that will flow the ideas you need in order to accomplish the goal you have in mind.

As an experiment I took a problem that I had worked on for some time without many results and applied my friend’s statement by making it generic. The statement that I came up with was something like this; incredible ideas are formed when a person applies their imagination with some real-world action.

This generic statement made it possible for me to apply the principle no matter what problem I was working on. When I applied this principle to my problem, the ideas began to flow once I applied some action to them. They weren’t always good ideas but they were ideas nonetheless and some of them actually were very good ideas.

The lesson to take away from all this would be that with imagination and action you have the catalyst for the ideas that will solve your problem. Without the imagination and action the problem will never be solved.
