Affordable Patek Philippe Pocket Watches
Patek Philippe watches are the most expensive and some models can be very hard to find. It is very difficult to find a Patek Philippe pocketwatch under $2000. A Patek Philippe watch at that value may not be even in the best of conditions. Pateks are a favorite among collectors everywhere because of their rarity and their excellence. A watch collection is not complete without a Patek.
There are still many rare Patek Philippe pocket watches but they can be a little hard to find. Here are just some of the rarest Pateks.
- Gold Half Hunter. This has gilt keyless bar movement. It has a club foot lever escapement which means that the lever has counter balance to the arms. It has signed white enamel with Roman numerals, blue steel hands and subsidiary seconds. The hunter case is made of 18 carat gold with a blue enamel chapter ring. This is worth $3700 at the very least. A genuine watch has the PP.Co. logo.
- Gold Lever. This was made by Patek Philippe for a South American retailer in the 19th century. It has a high quality damascened keyless bar movement with going barrel. It is equipped with a polished steel regulator and compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Just like most of Patek Philippe watches it has a signed white enamel dial with second hands, Arabic numerals and gilt hands. It has an open face and a case made of 18 carat gold.
- Gold, open face lever. This is a late 19th century lever by Patek Philippe in a gold open face case with a box hinge. Just like the three mentioned earlier, it has w white signed enamel dial with second hands, black Roman numerals for the hours and blue Arabic numerals for minutes. The back has an 18th century style cover and it is made of plain 18 carat gold. There is a pierced gold crown fixed to the back cover that has the initials “EV”. This is worth at least $3,000.
