Irish home and Garden is a collection of articles written by several authors. Themes range from pets, gardening, house and home and, obviously Ireland. We aim to provide you the best information possible, to help you to make informed decisions and to learn more about things that interest you. All our articles are written by knowledgeable experts in their fields and reviewed by a human editor. In case you are interested in contributing to IHG, as we call “Irish Home and Garden” affectionately, please read first the submission guidelines below and after that, if you feel you and your writing would be a good fit, contact us via the contact form below. Please be aware that, even if you are accepted as a contributor to IHG, this doesn’t mean that all your articles will get automatically approved. All articles are subject to revision by a human editor and have to follow our quality guidelines.

1. What is Irish Home and Garden all about?
IHG, as we call it affectionately, is a multi-contributor knowledge base about all things concerning home, garden and Ireland. This includes kitchen appliances, home gadgets, pet care, Ireland travel and Irish expat tips and the like. That is our niche and we stick to it

2. How can I become a contributor to it?
Not easy! Normally IHG works only with a close knit group of writers to provide premium content to this site. But have a look around and if you are convinced you can continuously match – and surpass – the content written for this site, feel free to ~~register here~~ (new author registration is at the moment not possible, please check back later). Please be aware that registration and submission of content doesn’t mean all your articles get automatically approved. Additionally, if you continue to submit a large number of low quality articles, your account might get deleted by an editor.

3. Do you pay me for writing articles for your site?
Nops, but every article published can contain maximum 2 links that point to a relevant, related site. These back links are our “Thank You” to you for contributing content to IHG. Additionally publishing content to an authority article directory like IHG helps you to establish yourself as an authority in your own field and makes your name wider known in your particular niche.

4. What are the minimum requirements for articles to get approved?
Really glad you asked, here a list of requirements your article should fulfill. I say “should” because I might approve your article if it is really outstanding even if you don’t fulfill every single point, but with “outstanding” I do mean outstanding and not just ‘good enough’.

First and foremost your article should be interesting and informative for a human reader. Please don’t pollute the internet with rewritten or spun articles. If you can’t provide any valuable information, don’t submit your article.

Your article should have at least 500 words and should be well written, with correct grammar, spelling and syntax. Please check all this before submission.

Maximum 2 links in the article body. Links have to be relevant to the article content and must point to “good neighborhoods” and / or authority sites.

Please don’t over-optimize your articles, write for readers, not for search engines. A bit of Seo is ok, too much is poisonous.

5. Are the articles copyrighted or can they be re-used?
All articles here on IHG are copyrighted by their respective authors and can’t be used without prior, written permission by the copyright holder and IHG. IHG will make every effort to protect the copyright of its contributing authors.
