I don’t know how it is like in your house, but in our home the hallway is a kind of middle-room between inside and outside. A room where shoes are changed and a wide variety of jackets, rain coats, umbrellas and who knows what else are stored. The mail arrives and gets put down on a table, ready for everybody to pick up his or hers. The dog leash used to be there also, now the cats bowls are there instead. Our hallway is relatively small, and to be honest, quite often a real mess. As we are thinking of re-designing ours, I thought “Why not sharing my findings with my readers.” Actually I was blown away by the amount of available storage solutions that can help to transform even a small, but messy, hallway into a welcoming home entrance that is somehow a bit more orderly.
